God, I missed it. So good to have it back, even though we did start the season off by losing - beating Stoke 4-0 (I do love that scoreline) just a few days later eased the hurt. And looking only at those two fixtures we already have two more points than last season!
Also, we’re leading the stitches league. Uh… Yay?
Today’s matches start any minute now. Which one to watch, that is the question. I’m not watching Man United, that only makes me nervous. I don’t want to watch Arsenal - Portsmouth, because Pompey have been looking so poor lately and I hate seeing Arsenal win, which they most likely will. I would have watched Hull - Bolton, but they aren’t showing it until half six. Which leaves Man City - Wolverhampton. I despise City with all my heart and hate seeing them win, too, but maybe, maybe, the Wolves can pull something out of the bag. If Burnley can beat United (mwahaha), Wolverhampton may have something up their sleeves, too.
I’ll take my chances with the last one.
Then bring on Monday and my Reds hopefully crushing Villa same as last season! (Please don’t let me have jinxed it.)
Edit: All right, maybe I made a bad choice. Damn that Adebayor. I really don’t like the guy.
And wow, that poor Wolves keeper. He’s working out of his skin to keep the score down at 1-0.
Damn, what a save from Givens. If I could choose one keeper in the Prem other than our Pepe, it’d be him. He’s awesome and I wish he still played for Newcastle or any other team I don’t dislike the way I do City.
Finally, some pressure from Wolves! Keep at it!
Oh, for the love of… Don’t give them so much space. You let Adebayor, Tévez and Robinho run free like that, you’re screwed.
Wolves are really lucky only to be down by one goal at half time.
Whew, that was close by Ireland. I never liked him, either. His head is a funny shape. *glares*
OH GODDAMNIT! I thought that ball was in. Come on, Wolves. You can do it.
Oh, that was a nice move. Shame it didn’t come to anything.
Hee. Téves replaced by Bellamy. I kind of love Tévez just for getting on the United fans’ nerves so much, but it still makes me happy when he fails something.
Wolves could have used a Delap and his mad arm throws just then.
All right, 1-0. And looking at the results from the other matches, it seems I still chose the right one to watch. *sigh* And I was all hopeful that both games had been goalless since there hadn’t been any ‘pings’ telling us what the score was. Guess the pressure is on us for Monday now. *crosses fingers*
